DON'T TELL ME GOD ISN'TTRUE

DON'T TELL ME GOD ISN"T TRUE
It could be an interesting term for the first black female District Court Judge in Rockingham and Caswell Counties.
Erica Standfield Brandon was sworn in along with plenty of prayer and a repetition of "Don't tell me God isn't true" from Judge Brandon.
The courtroom was standing room only and the audience was probably 50% or more black. The courtroom had an air of a Sunday revival about it with a lot of "Amens!" from the congregation.
Presiding over the event was Judge Stan "Poe Lease" Allen. Judge Allen eased up on the restriction of no cameras or cell phones in the courtroom for the occasion.
Judge Brandon will certainly be an improvement over Judge Gentry who was said to be in office to round out his state retirement.
Governor Roy Cooper appointed Judge Brandon when Gentry retired.

LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT!

Does this sign's words remind you of anyone?

I have learned something about this sign. Clark Turner may have quoted the sign, but he did not erect it. It was not posted in Smithfield, Virginia or Smithfield, Ohio or Smithfield, Nebraska. It stood on a main highway into Smithfield, NC until about 1975. It had been there since sometime in the 1960s. It came down only when it seemed not worth repairing.

GET THE HELL OUT!

GET THE HELL OUT!
Donald Trump's recent remarks directed at four Congresswomen reminds me of Reidsville City Councilman Clark Turner's comments about anyone who is not satisfied with Reidsville.
Trump suggested the Congresswomen should go back to where they all came from if they didn't like something about America. Trump was too stupid to know three of the four women were born in America and the fourth was a citizen of the United States.
Clark Turner made the same remarks at a Reidsville City Council retreat. All the boys got a big laugh out of Clark's rude and crude remarks.
Despite Turner's foolish comment, he was re-elected many times. The voters were too stupid to consider what Clark Turner had said.
Sad.
