This is the May 2nd edition of the Alamance News.  This is the kind of news you could be reading in Rockingham County if we had a newspaper with the balls to print it.

For those with poor eyesight, I will post the headlines:

"Commissioner chairman admits extramarital liason
Sexually-explicit e-mails detail online relationship, as well as Friday "lunches" for sex"

"Commissioner chairman offers to resign, promise not to run for Congress if newspaper will withhold running story, 7A.  His evolving answers to newspaper's investigation"

"Tom Manning also used e-mails to his mistress to discuss opinions about other commissioners, school board members, potential competitor for Congressional seat, 5A"

The woman pictured to the right is the mistress with whom the Commissioner had sex "lunches".  Commissioner Manning is married and we're guessing his wife is pretty pissed.

Here are the highlights from the story:

 

1.  Alamance County Commissioner Tom Manning was cheating on his second wife with the woman pictured on the front page.  She is Karen Mebane.

2. Manning cheated on his first wife with his second wife.

3. Manning initially denied everything, claiming Mebane was a stalker and the emails were faked.

4. Mebane  lives on social security disability.

5. Mebane kept a diary of her tyrsts with Manning.

6. Manning is a bank executive.  His sex "lunches" were on company time.

7. Manning is 60, Mebane is 50.

8. Manning is WHITE, Mebane is BLACK.

9. Many of Manning's emails to Mebane were too explicit to be printed in the Alamance News.
